Ok I would do a search but I'm after my own answers so im posting.

Basically I want to run a better fuel management system for my turbo,d vtr.

I'm currently using mf2 which I feel is causing me some slight problems.
I'm boosting to 8 psi, it may not be a lot but it's alright for what I'm after.

Im just curious about the cost and involvement about the dastek unichip. I get the idea of running it and replacing my original injectors to bigger ones, but what kind of cost am I looking at for the full setup. That includes a map to.

Also do I fit it myself or get a company to fit it? I will be doing another boosted Saxo next year, but that will have a standalone ecu so I'm not looking to keep it long term. Maybe for half a year. Just want something more consistent and better for the car than the crude mf2. Also means I can have my cam timed/mapped as well.

around that yeah, these are 2 on ebay atm but the first one I'd ring aldon up tomorrow and ask them would a c version work, if they ask how old is the unichip say its the one before the current q chip

C version won't work I'm pretty sure. It's the B you need

I'm still in two minds with mine whether to pay out to ship mine to Andover for a dastek dealer to fit and map cheap or avoid that expense and fit it myself and get it mapped in Essex by, tO be fair, one of the best mappers in the country

Either way, should be good. I got my dastek B and boost module for £100 and injectors were in the kit I got from gavlar

Wouldnt you be better off getting a pred dude?

Thought of the pred option but I still don't get injectors and selling the car would mean losing an expensive bit of kit. I wouldn't mind losing a dastek tbh. I know buying a pred gets you a free map right? Still aldon is a 2 min drive. Manc is an 80 mile drive.

Well I'll keep my eye on eBay for the dastek, right now I'm gunna buy the injectors and save some more scrilla for the fitting+ mapping. By that time Im sure a dastek will pop up. I have to re tax it and sort my exhaust out yet that's 300 out my wage straight away.
