i think i may have a ecu problem? ive recently changed the clutch on my '97 saxo 1.1, all went well until i tried to start it.

i turn the key to the first point and the battery light comes on as it should, the next point however, this wont let me type in my immobiliser code and there is a continous clicking coming from the fuel injection relay (the one under the ecu)

ive checked the earths and cant find a faulty earth, does ANYONE have any idea as to what could be the problem??

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Pretty complicated one this and not something easily diagnosable over the web unless we happen to have a proper auto electrician somewhere! If all was fine before you did the clutch then I'd put my money on something plugged back in wrong or not plugged in at all. You say you've checked the earths but have a really good look over all the wiring you've disturbed and double check it's all correct. All I can think of really sorry!

thats not usually an ecu issue, its a weak connection issue somewhere. Recheck everything!

My money is on earths. If they arent done up tight and clean enough all sorts of mad shit can happen with electrics

check your earths iirc there are only two under the engine bay.
1- to gear box
2- to starter motor .

there is also a black wire right next to the green/yellow that when rebuilding my car i too to be an earth but it were actually a live. i just put it to the starter live and started first time.

obvs assuming the loom is pretty much the same as a mk2 furio one
