Ok so I want to know what activates the icv to come on when you let off the throttle. Is it the throttle position sensor? My car won't idle, ive replaced icv to a brand new one, still doesnt work, also my engine management light comes on now and again. Car also suffers bogging down under harsh acceleration, I've changed the spar plugs to. Any help would be great thanks!

so are you runing 2 map sensors as the boging down could be the problem with the ecu that the sigcon is made to prevent

dont run the car with less then 1/4 tank of fuel, ive spoke to lots off ppl about my own probs with the saxo on boost, my car wont run right on less the 1/3 or the tank, 1/4 and im pushing my luck, same with most others
walbro fuel pump is about £60, fit a new FPR aswell, go from there, its more expense but the sax pump just doesnt cut it,
as youve discoverd your wiring is probs the cause atm, but the fuelling wont help.. and its not something you want to brake

Thanks blackie, I did spot the low fuel problem last time I was on the road and then I read about your fueling problem, so I think I'll invest in a better fuel pump I already have an fpr just never fitted it. Well I re connected the wire started it up and seems fine haven't took it out yet though it was pissin it down just.

Reconnected the wire, it's still the fucking same. Why is it still cutting out? The icv seems to suck more air through every now and again then it doesn't so it cuts out, I think the map sensor gives the reading to the ecu to control the icv am I right? Basically I need to find out what controls the icv.
Could the tps sensor be faulty? As might not be reading the correct values so the car won't go into idle....
My icv is brand new.
Any help would be great.

Reckon I should take it to a garage and let them fix it? Really have no idea tbh.
