thermostat housin vts

im doin a 16v converstion from a vtr ... the 16v is in ive just got to fit everythink back together .. but on the thermostat housing theres two water outlets coming from it ... 'a big 1' an a 'smaller 1' .. i know the big 1 goes into the top of the rad but were does the smaller 1 plum into?? .... (ive still got the vtr rad atm) .... gonna get the vts 1 nxt week ... is there sumwere for it to fit on the vts 1 .. hope you understand what im waffle'in on about:wacko:

Smaller one is for the heater matrix - it's in the middle of the bulkhead
