What sort of minor proformance parts that are cheap from a VTS can go on my 1.1 Desire?
Been considering an air filter for a start and maybe the exhaust (which I persume is a straight though) and the back box.
Any other lil bits?
Will the fog lights fit lol? I need a front fog as it is as one is dead and plastic casing cracked.

Honestly, its not worth trying to make a 1.1 faster. make it look nice, bit of a cruiser until you can get a vtr/s as the difference is massive.
i'd happily replace the brakes for vented ones though and put some nice alloys on :)

There's not overly much that'll go from a 1.1 to a VTS.
TBH, I'd wait, just to little visual things to what you have.

So what you and the post above is pretty much saying wait until I can afford to run a VTS but do some lil body mods, vented brakes and allys on the car?

subtle mods to a 1.1. You can get a VTR front bumper fitted which look nice. Nice set of wheels and do it up like a cruiser.
yes, you can get an induction kit for it, K&N do the best for a 1.1 and you can buy some decent backboxes for a bit of rasp, but save your pennies :) the westie/furio is a good step up, cheap on insurance and tax, but looks the part

Rather than spend money kitting up your 1.1, save up all your pennies and get a Westcoast/Furio. They're 1.4 8v engines, 75 bhp I think but with all the bodykit, arches and lights of the vtr/vts. Look the part without the insurance, but will still go better than your 1.1!

strip it out and lower it ,,,vtr conversion... will be nippy with a 1.1 gearbox ;)

I'd bung the standard VTR/S bodykit on the 1.1. At least it'll look like one even if it doesn't go like one - in my opinion it's better to have a nice looking saxo (I think the base models just look a bit 'odd')
