does any1 know the details of a saxo VTR oil filter ie its fitments & thred sizes!?
or even what sandwich plate i would need to fit a 8 row oil cooler? this is comming asap hopefully will be done when my brakes arrive too........ so need info asap.
who has fitted them to there sax!??
how many rows is best! 8 - 13 - 20!? i was told 13 was best!? opinions!

m20x1.5 get a 13 row (they dont hold much oil but 13 is a good size for a n/a car).
boosted cars should use 16-19 row

cheers ratty! can you quickly explain what those figures mean!? 13row it is then off to egay & the scrappies!! LOL saabs have oil coolers dont they!?? any other car have them as standard!??
i need the thermostatic sandwich plate dont i so it wont flow the oil to be cooled before its hot enough!
i have just got one, will be fitting it soon. looks pritty straight forward.
vauxhall astra gtes had them standard too

id get a new one over an old one (oil is important) you need a thermostaticly controlled take off place (or sandwich plate) so that it only sends oil to the cooler when it needs to.
www.raldes.co.uk for the sandwich plate, ebay for the cooler (you can get some canny bargains on them) or GMC for the complete kit.

cheers ratty can get 13 row cooler - 115mm wide - 100mm high & a Pug sandwich plate for about £55 maybe a lil more for teh thermostatic plate but hay! then all i need is the fittings! job done great link too lower strut brace £24.54 throw one of those in aslwell.... LOL

sandwich plate should be no more than £20 brand new (from raldes)

this makes me think y ppl dont do this to there car wen modding it straight away i mean if you drive it enthusiasticly y not do this is a cheap mod simple to fit & is really effective & important if your car is driven hard!

i think mocal oil coolers are £80 brand new. not sure on other details.

GMC do the kit for £120 a mechanic could fir it in no time at all. Benifits are a cool running are even when you are heavy footed! Looks good to!
you can problery buy the set up cheaper than £120 this is wot im tring to do
