I've got a vtr which has had a vts conversion. The mods I have is bmc/piper 4-1 manifold/saxsport race system/lightweight pulleys. I had a rolling road today and it made 138.8 at the fly which is about bang on. The operator said it is running slightly rich and could be the fuel pressure regulator. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you change to improve it? The curve just has very slight dips which he said once you cure the richness it will be alot smoother.

my thought was that when you 16v a vtr you remove the standard 3.5bar fpr completely, whats what i did lol

Need to scan it mate. It was done by tcs Preformance on dyno dynamics. I'm not too sure what pressure reg I have. Don't know if I have the vtr one or vts.

have you plumbed a fuel return back in?

Yer it has got a fuel return. When I went to pug1off he did say the fuel lines were bogged on and looked alittle messy so whether or not it's that?

quite possibley, ive heard a few 16v vtr's without a return plumbed in running really rich... if yours are blocked it could be that...

just out of curiosity....when you removed the vtr FPR.... what did you replace it with?

nothing, blocked the feed from the carbon canister as it is blocked near the wing too lol. re done the fuel lines so i had feed = pump-filter-fuel rail, return = fuel rail-pump

Theres your problem mate, i assume you mean tcs in birchanger just of m11?

The guy doesn't know what he's on about, leave it how it is, its making good power and if its only slightly rich it wont cause any problems.
