I might need to bypass the wiring on the fuel pump and fit it with a relay and switch so is it safe to run the fuel pump constantly? By this I mean with it running you get the sound it makes when it primes all the time. Is this safe, or will it over pressurize the system or burn the pump out?

So you're saying that the fuel pump is running when the car is running? sounds pretty logical. you dont mean that once the engine stops that the pump is still running do you?

it primes, then stops until the engine is started, then obv runs all the time the engine is.
Ive got a 3 way switch in my track car...
1. pump off
2. pump works as per oe
3. pump runs all the time
if its runing all the time, the fuel just circulates
