Better off picking up a second hand exhaust in good condition if on a budget IMO, or just save up a little longer for a decent one....

Sportex arent bad, but they are painfully loud and not too great a sound. Never seen a sniper exhaust but can only imagine them being similar to a sportex.
Pops and bangs, basically you need to be decatted to get any!

Im not 100% sure,
but i think sportex and sniper are made by the same company, or same factory, or different parts of the same company of something like that, so there probably if not identical, in the sense of how they fit etc, obvs the sound is all going to be different on all the exhaust.
one thing i would say tho is avoide the sportex manifolds, they require serious modifications to fit them. and if you arent mechanicaly minded its a ball ache :y:

Ive worked for nissan for 7 years now so will be doing all things myslef.
Having fitted many non-gen items to car's and putting exhaust's and freind's car's i didnt want to buy something that doesnt fit and sounds like the exhaust has just fallen of !
I was going to save up for one but the one thats fitted now is well past its best, and i did'nt think £130 was to bad for a full system...... Is Magnex an option ???

ive got the 3 inch sportex back box with the race pipe and im de-catted and in all fairness for the price i paid which was very very cheap its good pops and bangs al the time but if you have to use motorways its too loud i hate having to go on a motorway if you stay at 60 its fine but as soon as you accelerate it just sounds to boomy but when accelerating from a stand still or coming off a round about it loves to pop and bang

ive ran everything from a sportex up to a BTB. the sportex was a great system, fitment was a ballache but i had the oval tip so it was a cunt to get sitting straight but was perfectly possible.
i had the sportex on with a cat in the mani and it sounded very nice

Im not saying the " big brands" are over priced at all, I sold my e36 to get a saxo as a money saver so getting a exspensive system would be the oppsite to what im trying to achive (save money).
As my old exhaust is dying it seems a good time to upgrade, so if i cant get a half decent one ill just replace with standard.
Some good reveiws about the sportex system thow so i might get that and wait for a second hand manifold to come up for sale if the sportex ones are that bad.
Sound like a plan guy's ?????

Just save a bit more and get a really good stainless exhaust.
