What would the reliability of a turbo build be like on a car being used everyday??
Its going to be a ok spec and no cheap crap i.e. omex 600, DP manifold and downpipe, etc. But not be forged running low boost.
Im going to be using the saxo everyday again soon and not sure if be worth having it turbo'd incase its breaking all the time.
Would having a forged bottom end be alot more reliable just not pushing loads of power.
Who has a turbo'd 106/saxo that they use everyday??

If looked after, serviced, let to warm up and cool down i dont see why it wouldnt be any more less reliable than any other turbo car

As everthing it it's treated nicley it'll be fine, just don't turn the boost all the way up.

Depends how good the mapper was as well I'd think. Personally if it were me, something of this nature would be a toy and not a daily but thats because I wouldnt be able to stop messing with it

As above, the real worry would be your right foot, wanting to live on boost all the time, if treated with a bit of mechanical sympathy A) you'll enjoy it a hell of a lot more because the boost coming on is a "treat" and B) self explanatory your not ragging the bollocks off it
Also as someone mentioned the mapping, buy cheap buy twice

what tyres? will have a diff.
if your concerned about it lasting then your better off using open diff and 185/50/15 remoulds, at least then it wont be able to covert your torque to the road as effectivly.

Well it will only be running about 10psi and its not like im using cheap, crap parts. Will eventually go forged.
Was thinking of getting some cams and fitting the jenveys ive got for time being till got a good spec that will be reliable like be box, better turbo and so on. But im sure the spec im going for should be reliable enough to use everyday.
