exhaust cock up!!

I've just bought a stainless steel cat back pipe off of ebay, come to fit it and its completely different to the one i already have on, the cat on my existing exhaust has a cat just under the manifold however he new exhaust has the cat under the car (usual spot to my knowledge lol) just wondering is there any way to rectify this perhaps getting the exhaust bit from under the manifold to meet my new exhaust from an older/newer model, if that makes any sense, or is it case of should of checked first, put it back on ebay . thanks guys

sounds like you have a ph2 and bought a ph1 decat? in which case its useless to you i think ? could just buy a ph1 manifold n decat it like that. my ph1 has cat just after the manifold so i bought a phase 2 exhaust which decatted it if you get me ? youll need to do the opposite people can correct me if im wrong mind ! haha

my mistake ive just read it again cat back wise you would need to buy a mk1 decat pipe to make up the difference many sorrys lol

thanks for that, ive spoken to a mate who says i can get the decat pipe off 106 which will also do the trick, but a mrk 1 will do the exact same?? and do you know if its just the decat pipe i need or will i need to replace the manifold aswel?? cheers

Sounds to me you're missing a pipe from the new exhaust center section to the manifold?
Meaning you'll need a Saxo or 106 decat pipe.
