Don't think it fits. Uses a bigger bearing camshaft..

The rallye cam uses a bigger bearing, won't fit.

The rallyes and XSi models use a different head design with larger bearings. The VTR uses small bearing cams.

what if i put the whole head on ?
1.3 rallye head on a vtr
would i need a xsi bottom end?

If you do that youve more of less built a Rallye engine.

Mines a complete short+head, bolted together, pm me if you fancy buying it. Looks just like a normal VTR from the outside if you swap your rocker cover onto it :)

1.3 bottom end, 1.6xsi head, piper cam, vts pistons (I think)

Nothing dude, its just an S2 Rallye engine. Like a cammed VTR, with a bigger journal head, oil spray jets to cool the pistons, much longer duration cam than an ordiinary VTR.

I bought it to put in my Saxo VTR, but then sold the car so its surplus to requirements.

If you bought this you could just yank out your engine and put this one in.
