Right, i have a mk2 1.1 saxo with the cat underneath the car instead of in the manifold.
I've been told that if i buy this.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OFFER-CITROEN-SAXO-PEUGEOT-106-CENTRE-PIPE-SECTION-EXHAUST-/140617129925?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bd6f1fc5 it will swap straight in and de-cat my car. As its manifold to backbox.
Would it be an exact swap? Or would it require some work etc?
Also, it should be easy enough to swap in and out come mot time i guess?
I've had a search around but im finding it hard to piece together an exact answer from various threads.
Thanks alot for any help.

i put one off these on my mk2 vts, but as i had an aftermarket powerflow back box i had to get it welded to it, and the same had to be done to my mates, but i know another guy who put one on his vtr and went on and bolted straight to the back box without any welding ect.. so il presume its down to your back box? what back box you got mate ?

I have a standard back box and standard manifold with no cat.
did you're mk2 vts have the manifold in the cat? if not, did it fit straight onto the downpipe.. cheers man

nah mine was a mk2 but as it was the early model it had the mk1 vts engine in which was the single plug and the cat was underneath ;) , i cant see it being a problem mate if you've still got standard back box and standard manifold on mate, id go for it, plus its not too dear anyway :) will make it sound louder :p , did on mine but thats with powerflow back box, but that pipe will eliminate the cat plus the middle box ;)

if in some reason it doesnt fit can always find another rear box maybe an aftermarket one and get that welded to it, and when mot time comes to change it only will take 5mins to change as will only be 2bolts from manifold to take off ;) id love to say for certain it would fit but id thought mine would off and didnt lol

glad to hear it will fit for you. will sound better but i dont think it would perform as well as a propper de-cat. i envy you if this works tho. i spent £70 on a stainless steel de-cat but still got a mid silencer, still nice and loud but when it pops and bags (loud enough id say for it to spit a flame) it goes in the silencer. was over fueling but iv sorted that out whilst its been off the road so once its passed its mot de-cat is going back on but i bet it wont pop any more. plus im going to have to pay to get the box cut off and a straight pipe put on just untill i can afford a propper straight thew race pipe lol. good luck with it and tbh hope it fits

Is your flatty a W reg miller? with the undefrloor cat? if it's the standard back box it SHOULD in theory fit straight on, don't see why it wouldn't.

Don't buy off ebay m8. I bought an MK1 VTS center pipe happened to be a 1.1 badly made one, the bends were very poor as well as welding and the exhaust mount was too long. If your looking at a center pipe just get a supersprint center pipe could probably pick one up quite cheap on here.
They will in theory straight swap but like I said poor quality ebay parts will never be as good as OE or higher standards. Switching center pipes isn't hard takes about 5 mins once you've done it a couple of times and cars all up on axle stands with ratchet spanners of course ;) ha

As said above, it#s £11.99 for a reason.
