2000 vtr, conversion questions

I have a 2000 vtr, been reading threads saying the change over year makes alot of complications, im looking into more 1.8 xsara vts turboed or maybe old pug 2.0 turbo, any advice on big swaps on these years?

engine will go in bay, total new mounts...you now a welder yeah?

edit- wiring is your last worry, ALL electronics can be wired, standalone wasnt created for nothing, space, is an issue, you can do what you want, IF you have the money :D
