rattley inlet manifold

hiya i have a saxo vtr 52 plate when the car is ticking over or when reving the car i have a noicey rattle which sounds to be coming from the inlet manifold or that sort of area. also when sat at traffic lights or waiting to pull off my car revs on its own to 3thoused revs and take a while to climb back down the revs again any idea or adivce on what it might be ?? thank u :)

The rattle might just be your tappets, best thing to do it start it up when stationary then just check under the bonnet to see exactly where its coming from.

The rev problem might be your ICV (Idle Control Valve) may be just need a clean out.
Get a old rag and a bit of petrol and just clean it out then it should be fine.

ye i agree with gibbo, that happens a lot on theese cars
