And nope, thats how they are standard. The gearbox is geared for 143 or 148mph lol.

look pal i dont know much about cars i jus brought the fuckin thing some little boy racer had it before me and dun stuff to it i asked a question on here to try and get a better understanding soo do me a favour if u got nuffin helpful to say dont say anything!

'Chipped' ecu's do fuck all on these cars. the exhaust and air filter will give you about 5-8 bhp tops.

The speedo is notoriously inaccurate at high speeds, it wouldnt have the power to get there in reality. Get a satnav in there that measures your speed more accurately

He's telling the truth though. Central locking is an obvious sign you haz bin soupa chiped.

Cammed vts is a lethal weapon only to be operated by racing drivers and the like. I wouldn't even bother trying if one overtook me in the Aston.

ive had my mk2 VTR with a tubi manifold, decat and K&N at 135 (ON THE SPEEDO) pahaha down the hill on the m1.
on the flat it will run 125.. ish 130 if you really hold it on

my vtr will do 127 (or so it says) if you can find enough road and its got a standard exhaust and standard air intake. shouldnt imagine theyd go much more, just a case of getting there quicker

to be honest my VTR is well quicker than my M3 so i can totally relate to this thread, just look at the fucking thing, its rapid at standstill, i can only get the M3 to hit its limiter at 167 but because ive got the VTR box in the Saxo that little biscuit tin must be hitting 180? WITHOUT CAMS!

Totally had the same problem as you dele with somebody elses Saxo, He challanged me to a race becuase he said his saxo had the smae amount of Horse Power as me, So i started racing him but something was wrong, we got to 100mph and he started to accelerated away from me......

Thats when i realised i was still in 2nd gear....
