Hello fellas,

wondering if someone could help me / give me some advice!

My inlet manifold on my 2003 saxo vts is rattling, it sounds horrid! but i can only hear it when idling obviously as when the engine is reving it drowns the sound.

My engine performance is not effected, but is this a common fault? is it even a fault? is it worth me getting a new one?

many thanks

Hi grahame182, this sounds like a big ol' jar of pickle! My mates got the exact same fault with his vts!! I reckon you shud take it to barber's house and let him have a look! He's well good cos he owned a vts for abit, aswell as loads of other hot hatches! And when he's fixed it u mite get a biscuit and a cup of tea!! Hope this helps, cos most of the chaps on here are proper wana-bees!!

Craggyvts turbo, double overhead dog biscuits, with grey headed dolphin points!.....
Ps. I know where u live.

i would be surprised if it was the manifold rattling as then it would have to be loose and if loose would leak air and not idle correctly.

worth checking all the bolts holding it on though just in case its one of them thats loose
