have just bought a 1.1 saxo that is very poor on fuel usage, circa 25 mpg. Starting from cold there is too much fuel, the engine is very sluggish below 3000 rpm and runs unevenly, threatening to stall at low revs. The local garage have suggested replacing the coolant temperature sensor, will this do the job?, any other ideas?, would appreciate your help. This is a 1999 model.
