Hi guys, fitted a piper manifold to mk2 vtr, but my exhaust is now sitting really high and is touching my anti roll bar? My cat back exhaust is a magnex 3.5 inch tip? Has anyone had this trouble? Any help would be great thanks.

I'm guessing you mite have the one that I returned to Kam , had this trouble the other week, the bracket wouldn't line up either, I sent mine bk and got the super sprint, no probs with that, piper had it back and said it was perfect even tho I sent them pics of the exact same problem, looked good just didn't fit well, good luck on getting piper to sort it

If your exhaust is a Magnex from front to back, then it'll be in 2 or 3 sections. You need to rotate the section at the front a bit so it clears the ARB.

I've got a Piper 4-1 and it fits well but not perfect. The center pipe to mani joint is off a bit no blowing just the gasket you can see is tighter on the bottom than the top. Try what LeeumH said if the pipe is in 2 sections like the magnex, VTS setup or ss center etc.

I had to cut a big 'u' shape out of the flange just to make the gear links miss hitting it, fixed that problem and now its hitting the arb :/. Do you think if i get a supersprint it'll avoid the anti roll bar with the pipe being smaller? :/

Get some pictures up mate. It sounds to me like your exhaust just needs rotated. Might be worth removing the exhaust and refitting each of the sections one by one? I fitted a Piper manifold to a friend's VTR and didn't have any problems.

There's no 'good fitting' manifold for a 98bhp VTR imo. I had the Supersprint and after a while, it jammed itself against the metal part of the oil filter housing and rattled on idle. Ended up using some extra manifold to head gaskets to space it away from the head a bit more.

The Supersprint was designed on the early engines. As the uk distributor we only recommend it for the Mk1 as there is not really the clearance. I doubt Supersprint tested it again when the mk2 came out.
