yeah can be done coz saxo_vtr1234's cat on his mk2 98bhp model fucked up and he hollowed it out, seems slighty more responsive and has slightly depend the tone of his axaust.
only problem is come mot time coz you cant take that cat on and off like the other models.

no reason not to if you have a spare for mot time, will probably work better than a straight through pipe as the box will still act to keep sound pulsing the same as standard

excellent, i'l get it done asap, MOT = no probs for me ;-) good friends own a m.o.t centre, that said, they wouldnt let me drive a dangerous car or anything but on minor things like this :D ;) if you know what i mean........ scott what you mean it would work better ? you do know mines the mk2 vtr with cat in manifold, will this then act like a 4-2-1 / 4-1 manifold would i.e. same type of gains ?

not quite:P read www.gmcmotorsport.com the part about exhausts and sound pulisng to see why straight through pipes on an NA engine are not good:P

Ive done this on my furio its bangs and pops alot more than it used to and sometimes gets foot long flames out of the back (i have dual exit and it comes out of both) possibly bigger on a car with just a single pipe, it sounds raspier in my opinion but you may like that whereas im not too keen.

Performance - think it may have gotten rid of a flat spot or 2 lol
