okay ive had my new VTS for around a month now, and my mpg is awful... its very modded newman ph3 cams and lots of other mods. dyno'd at 149.6bhp... worked it out other day im getting 26mpg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i dont constantly drive with a heavy foot.. is this becuase of the mods? i love my car but its killing my wallet lol

Thought it would be down to the mods lol... never actually realised how much its going to cost me to run. oh well love the car too much to do anything about it lol

only other thing I would think about is if the car isn't mapped up and just on oe ecu then think of sorting that out yes it may only give you a bit more power but everything will be smoother and generally drive better mpg may improve a bit to the point you aren't thinking of being raped

He gets 40 mpg as average, and he's got over a 50 mpg a few times on good runs.
Before pointing a finger at the mods I'd look at the basics first, tyre pressures, weight, driving duration and driving style.

its been mapped and tyres are all good, got toyo proxes all round only 400miles old... I have had a few blasts but not ragged the car ):

Distance and duration of trips?
Proxes aren't that good btw - high wear rate and high rolling resistance.

go between work only ussually do short trips, which may have something to do with it... proxes grip well though, may not be good for mpg but i always use them

Mine is standard engine with an induction and saxsport straight through exhaust and i have got 46mpg on my last tank!

Mine has newman ph3, a predator ecu to suit mods, ported and polished head with 3 way valve seats.
It does 250-300 on a tank but depends on whether its made up of short trips caught in traffic etc. Not worked out mpg for a while but had it pre mods and its not hugely different (of course it is worse!).
