I have got a vts with a bmc induction kit.
I am struggling to get cold air in as my engine bay is quite full.
Any pics or suggestions how to get the cold air in? I had a dyno not to long ago and he said my car isn't performing to its full potential and needs a better feed hence this thread lol. Also is this the rite choice of filter?
Please help me !!!
Cheers.

You want to just get some cold air ducting from kam or somewhere similar, iirc i paid about 8 quid for a metre. I'm using panel filter and airbox though so you might need to measure the diameter you need. And do something similar to this... http://is01.thegumtree.com/image/extrabig/89477077.jpg Also sorry, i presume its an enclosed one? If you not you'd still benefit from a decent feed but not quite as much.

tho only thing is that is where the standard one goes and its not enough cold air. manifold gets hot as you will know so that area of the engine bay is where i wanted to get away from

I really dont like BMC for that reason and even with a cold air feed I dont think theyre that great at lower speeds where there isnt such a great amount of flow.

mine was the same as this and the cold feed pipe went down towards the fog light, direct cold air without sucking up any water

To be honest, as long as its a decent bit of pipe, it wont matter about it running past manifold too much, obviously try and get it as far away as possible though, i would advise against running it down into front bumper area due to water from puddles etc, but that's up to you.
