You would be better off asking on an mgf forum. Or ringing a remap company and asking them. They probably would give better advice.

Remap is pointless without other engine mods!

MGF forum would be a better place to ask
MGF Owners Club (http://www.ukhairdressers.com/)

Super unleaded not required on a N/A car! Just use a good brand of petrol!

The vvc 143 engine cant be remapped as it uses an older style mems 2j ECU. Only the mems 3 ECU can accept a remap, which are the later vvc 160 models. If you really are desperate for a remap an emerald K6 aftermarket ECU could be fitted but it'll cost you a lot and for very little gain on a standard engine. My advice would be get a better exhaust and vvc 160 airbox, and maybe fit a reground piper exhaust cam. Some people have made 180bhp + using the reground exhaust ams. Running it on super wont make a difference if its standard
