downpipe/cat gasket

does the saxo vts and 106 gti have a special gasket between the cat and downpipe compared to other cars?

as mine was blowing so i took it to an exhaust centre i know and he said he wasn't able to fix this due to the size or something?

have bought a new gasket today but was just wondering why he wasnt able to do it like if the gti has a certain sized ring compared to other vehicles

Just didn't see why he said he can't repair it?

I only swapped the cats over on my car and its blowing on that gasket as it broke down the middle... Went to exhaust centre and he said he couldn't do it?
