doubt it. the superchips (if its the proper ones we're referring to here) have a ceramic coating to protect the circuitry inside. If it was heat exposure the engine should not have got that hot. If it was electronic 'frying' then it has nothing to do with the speed of the car.

yes actualy it is possible.
Not sure if it was the 130 for 15 mins, maby that's a coincidence. but a pal of mine had superchips do the two ecus in his 850 about 3 years ago and for what ever reason within 2 days both units had "blown", technical tearm that, costing him £800 each, and since he replaced them with standard ones they've been fine, simply pluged and played, so it can't have been anything else on the car.

Superchips should fried and fucked off anyway.
I dare say a portion of maccy D 's chips in your ECU would work so much more better.
LOL !!!!

T-t-t-t-t-t-t-techno time... :D:
The only reason the chip will 'blow' is if it draws too much current (i.e. short circuit/very low resistance or impedance), therefore the only thing responsible for the superchip going WABOOM is itself.
Now that could be down to poor design, manufacture or the fact it's a shit device off ebay. When you refer to 'Superchip' are we referring to the tuning specialist that charge around £500 or the wank variety off the 'bay?

I was refuring to THE superchips, remembering that my pals experience was of the old school pull the eprom out and replace it, not like the flash maps we have now.
