hi,

Im trying to get all the parts together for my engine build for my throttle bodie conversion. At the moment i have HI-comp forged piston and trying to find some arp bolts. Now I am just wanting to know if i would be better off finding forged rods for the build or will oem rods with arp bolts be ok?

thanks

Depends on the cam profile and what you want to rev to.

forgot to say its going to be my jp4 that its all going into not the j4

No need if you are only running mild cams like 708s.

Obviously they make for a stronger engine but depends on the budget, personally if you are fitting forged pistons I'd be looking at cams like 734/ph4.

what rods would be best and I will need to wait till the engine is stripped to get the size of the crank befor ordering them
