Hi guys. Im looking at getting a new manifold. Im not going to pay out for a piper/supersprint. Thats more than im willing to spend.

I currently use a protech 4-2-1. Its very similar to the janspeed with regards to the design, omly stainless steel, but it makes a strange raspy sound from the engine bay area.
A friends gti is the same. Cannot get rid of this noise.

So the only other affordable option was the ashley manifold on ebay listed for a gti. It's my preffered choice, but has anyone used one?

Any other recomendations will be considered.

Thanks, jamie.

If you have a vtr a gti manifold wont fit.

I have has the ashly manifold and it was alot less raspy than a stainless one

janspeed has smaller bore pipes as far as i am aware which is more suited for mildly tuned cars

I've got more of a back ground with bag group cars so only now am I turning French ( or to the dark side ) but Ashley manifolds have a very good rep for vag applications , will be interesting to see what the preferred mani for a vts is
