Hey i have a saxo 1.4 8v and i wanted to remove the engine top cover or valve cover to painted. Do i need a dynamometric key for that?

a what? a spanner would be more use, if the bolts really tight then plastic explosive is always an option

You mean a torque wrench for tightening the nuts back up when refitting? I know I used one when refitting my valve cover, but if you don't have access to one I'm sure if your sensible i.e. don't over tighten the nuts, you could use a normal ratchet or spanner even.

yes that tool. Because i'm not sure if the valve cover can be normally tighten or it must be with a certaint pressure

if you tighten it too much the rocker arms hit the metal tray underneath the rocker cover

Just tighten it up with a ratchet and it'll be fine

the head bolts should be at the correct torque, you will be fine as your only doing the rocker covers or as you call it 'valve cover'

Do them slowly in tandem (?) So you dont bend it. Going full pelt on one bolt and the other one loose will cause problems

As above take it in turns with them, nice and slow don't do them to tight as u can snap the stud, it's not essential to use a torque wrench on this job. It's idea if u have on about 12nm. If not its ok not like it's head or rod bolts etc

if your removing the rocker cover then the bolts wont need to be to tight as you run the risk of strpping the thread from them, noramlly hand tight will do, if your removing the cylinder head then yes you need to torque them down
