Has anybody known to have the 1800cc stroker kit fitted? Apparently it's a rebore on the 1.6 lump. I reckon some nice power gains are possible!!

Its not been available easily for a few years so not many have it. Well worth it if you can afford it.

search...and its not a rebore. it uses shorter rods to make the increase

Stroker kit.

The rebores to sill CC are not a good idea.

With cams its a straightforward way to get towards 200bhp.

if its just shorter rods surely that would not create enough compression on the up strokes would i be right in thinking this

It will be a long throw crank and shorter rods

well that makes more sense

That is why its called a stroker kit...
There is an increase in crank stroke...the greater the stroke the further the rod is from the axis of rotation, increasing the distance the piston will travel and therefore increasing the displacement.

If I remember rightly atspeed sell these bud.

they also induce pistons as well? from what i remember its £2.5k, but as said could be a simple a reliable way to get towards 200bhp

edit: the ZRP kit includes billet crank and rods, forged pistons and costs just over £2k, depending what size pistons you get and wheather you haev the turbo option it increases the engine size to between 1750-1800cc depending on which options you choose

200bhp from what tho?stroker kit alone?

That would make an awesome turbo engine! Makes me wish I had the money. Oh well I can dream.

we used stroker kit on deans 106 turbo.
80mm bore and 35psi of boost. no issues.

known of good results NA in greece for some drag cars out there.

35psi of boost sounds tasty.
Was that on a GT30? How do they cope with high boost levels?

What is Deans car like to drive? Is it driveable with the power?

there is also a highly homersexual S1 rallye with a stroker kit and charger
