Id go for which one has the most solid shell. You can always swap engines and transmissions later

to be honest mate its really up to you.
vtr is cheaper on insurance where as the vts is silly.
alot of people want alot for a vts, and are overly priced for what they are imo
if your vtr's shell is solid id consider checking wishbones, rear beam etc to see what state the cars in. if it needs welding at all? if its to much work then look for a newer/better condition saxo.
as said id keep with the vtr if its not to bad. unless you want a newer/quicker car.

thanks for the posts guys, and yer my vtr is fairly solid but it was a cat c in 2004 i think and the side skirt is glues on with mastic and looks a mess, the strut mounts are knocking and i replaced both wishbones and front shocks a few months ago, powersteering dont work and the bonnet want paint as somone polished thru it and rear bumpers paint it peeling so that will need spraying too. someone lowered it too much a put too bigger wheels on it so it has no inner wheel arches so all the mud ect goes up the door where the hinges are and is a right mess and pain in the ass to clean, and ive got aload off bits at work like another engine for my vtr which i was going to strip and rebuild with forged pistons and fast road cam - crank ect ect which i was going to do but now seeing a nice vts which dont need much doing to it, i think im going to save myself alot off money going like that..
but not sure what to do still haha
thanks much appreciated matt
