It came on on wednesday evening but didn't come on yesterday and it was back on today  Do I need to get someone with the diagnosis equipment to see whats wrong or will it be ok? the car seems to be running fine its a 2001 1.1i desire. Just out of interest is it possible to get fault finding cables and software to use with a laptop? instead of buying the sun/snap-on systems

mone does it every other week. usually its due to bad fuel. cars addicted to shell or bp - otherwise it wont start....
also i think it might be the CAT, does your car smell when the light comes on?

A mate of mine who is ex greasemonkey reckons it could be a faulty sensor but i'd need it on the computer to find out which one. I haven't noticed any bad smells recently but its bugging me cos I've had the car 2 years and its only the past couple of days that the light has been coming on and off
