hey, just grabbed some lights off ets2k9 the other night and they look a treat (cheers lad) but main point is i saw his vtr with a vts engine and that looked shit hot to be fair.

Only makes me wonder about getting a vts engine in my car but being 19 you think its a better idea til i turn 21 cus atleast then insurance aint really a problem? Any advice? Cheers

well i got it off a sax-p member actually and it was a bit of a bargain!
i got:
vts engine with kent cams fitted,
gearbox,
remapped ecu (unlocked)
wiring loom

all off a car that had done 45k

got it all for £400 and cost me F/A to get it fitted as i did it myself! sooooo easy to do. i couldnt beleive it. did it in a day!

these pics are a bit old but now iv got my modified piper-x, decat, powerflow backbox and straight through centre section she,s running nearly 150bhp. just after a 4-2-1 manifold now to push me up to nearer 160bhp. then ill be saving hard for a turbo or super charger for in a couple of years time.

my insurance was £1485 with 0 no claims and 2 yrs experience!

not bad ay?

yer you do get used to the power after a while and then you feel a bit dissappointed but thats when you buy another mod! or drive around dead slow everywhere then when you do give it a blast it feels like a rocket again!

Its crap how the novelty wares off then you have to spend some more money. I've hit that point already.

bit of a large increase 120bhp to 150bhp with them mods mate you had it rolling roaded you have probably only just got 135bhp no mention of cams and other bits my brother was running a vts with cams fitted port and polish, induction kit dual exit exhaust system straight through and a remapped ecu and he was just manageing to push 150 bhp

Totally agree mate, if it were rolling roaded it wouldnt get a figure of 150bhp. You have an open filter and cams, and you say the ecu has been remapped but still wouldnt see you at 150bhp.

the lad i bought it off was Dirt_geezer on this site. he had a full zaust system, 4-2-1 manifold enclosed induction and my engine and has a rolling road print off of 153bhp. ill get in touch and see if he can post it to me as i live in te midlands and he lives in wales. the port and polish will be coming along last of all as i have a friend that works for mclaren f1 team in nothampton who is gonna do it for £50. bargain!

the cams iv got are pretty wild though as my idle is lumpy as fcuk its like sitting on a washing machine when your at the lights!

at the minute i think im at about 145bhp ish
