Picked up a car today to fix up and sell on all is ok but it stutters under 3k. Idle is fine, flat out is fine just when at low revs even when in neutral it stutters. Bee. Told it needs a new cat for mot could it just be that the lambda isn't happy with the emissions so is adjusting fuelling and causing the problem.
It's a 1.2 16v ecotec

as said possibly mass airflow, however most likely cause is crank sensor

Yeah eml is on, will check both tomorrow and see if a clean sorts them. Will grudge buying a new sensor.

diagnostics could save you some heartache here mate, but the 16vs are just ecowrecks when it comes to sensors lol, rip it out and get a LET in ;)

Got it for free so just wanting to get it running nicely then sell it on for a tidy profit I'm not keeping it or mod'ing it. Will see if I can get diagnostics done by a mate.
