Got a " cool story bro " thread for you to have a lil read of.
Massive story but ill cut it down as much as i can... My ex gf is trying to get me done for abh and criminal damage.
We had been together for 7 months, early december 2011 i split up with her for numerous reasons.. we both knew it was for the best. Anyway she had been messaging me through fb and texting me saying she really needs to see me etc, i just said it was for the best we didnt.
Was out with a few mates boxing day night and she kept texting me asking me if id give her a lift, i kept on saying no i cant sorry then she started to offer me money :/ and i couldnt resist taking £20 off her as i was skint, and the distance i had to take her was less than 5 miles. Regretably i picked her up and took her home, we had a lil chat in the car about things and agreed to stay in contact, over the next couple of days she keeps telling me how much she needs me in her life etc, like a mug i get back with her.
We went out with about 15 of our mates to a workin mens club in my village, i didnt feel great so wasnt drinking that much! :( anyway my ex got paraletic, 01:00 am comes along and everyone leaves the club, we all had planned to go to a friends house after and continue drinking! But my ex had allready had more than enough, so we went back to my car to get a few things and started to walk back to my house, its around a mile walk.
I sent around 30 odd people a text saying " happy new year " one person it included was my ex's mother, for some reason she has hated me ever since she left her husband, she got the impretion i was taking her daughter away from her when i wasnt, anyway she replied " f**k off " to my text, i replied " thank you " lol then she rang my house phone giving my mum shit down the phone.. my mum rang me and told me, my ex rang her mother and they started to row, this then lead to me and my ex arguing on the way walking back to mine..
Some bloke in his 30's drunk comes over to us, asks my gf if she is ok as she was crying my ex says yes she is fine, he asks again, she says for a 2nd time she is fine. No idea why but totally out of the blue, this bloke goes for me, grabs me and pushes me to the floor. Im so confused on why the hell he is on top of me... lol he starts saying he is " going to eat me " anyway i manage to get him off me n restrain him for around 1 minute until he calms down, while my gf and the blokes gf are standing there crying there eyes out.. i tell the bloke to sit on the floor n wait till me and my gf have left then look after his own gf.. me and my gf walk away fine.
We continue to argue then my " so called " mate rob comes along n asks whats up i walk on, my ex stops and speaks to him, i walk for around 1 min and look back and there hugging, i shout wtf? and walk on, my ex runs after me and we contine to argue even more, we took a short cut home through a alley and she fell over and badly hit her face off the floor, cut her bottem lip and pushed two of her top teeth out of place, her mouth is bleeding pretty bad, i pick her up n try and call a ambulance for her but she keeps snatching my phone.. i took a couple of pics of her face to show her how bad it was and that she really has gotta go hospital.
She insists she car'nt feel anything and that she is ok, so slowly we walk out the alley into the street and shes on the phone to her mum again, then she goes to put her phone in her bag and drops it.. i go to help her pick it up and she goes mad saying i smashed her phone up and pushed her over...
She continues to go on a mad one, starts knocking on peoples doors, this is at 4.00 am new years day. I tell her the time and that no one is going to answer, anyway on about the 15th door someone finally comes out and asks why on earth she has just woke her up..? My ex says sorry i wanted to use your phone but its ok now :S we walk off, and she continues to kick up a massive fuse and shouting, so i bluff her n pretend to ring the police on her then she calms down...
got about 2 mins from my house and a bloke walks past us, my ex asks to use his phone and rings the police saying " my boyfriend has just attacked me and smashed my phone up " I stay with her while shes on the phone to the police and i say " Your really going to get me arrested on new years day for something i havnt done ? " then she gives the phone back to the person and he walks off.
She then tells me she didnt really ring the police, so i belive her, during the time we had been arguing i had been trying to sort her a lift home, finally i find someone to take her home and she says she wants to wait on her own.. fine by me i walk off.. then get a few streets away then worry cause she was so drunk, so i go back, there's a police car on the road she was on.. i walk up to the police car they ask my name, i tell them, and that im looking for my gf and give her name, they say they are looking for her too. Then this bloke who let my gf use his phone comes over and tells the police she is round the corner, pollice officer asks me to get in the back of the police car, so i do.
We then go to emily one police officer gets out and speaks to her, and calls her a ambulance. Ambulance comes, takes her to hosp. One police officer gets in the back with me, another comes round to my door and they say they are arresting me for ABH and criminal damage.. I tell them i done nothing wrong etc, and they go to grab my wrists n i pull away.. Then get pepper sprayed ( with a huge amount imo ) First time getting pepper sprayed to just for the record. Van comes karts me to police station...
I spend 14 hours of my new years day in a cell, get interviewed and both police officers make me out to be a right nasty thug! They belive my ex 100%
I am now released on bail, bail conditions are not to contact my ex or any of her family directly, indirectly or via a 3rd party, and to stay clear of all there houses/flats. ( Fine by me )
Ive got to hand myself into custody on the 21st feb. Sorry for the huge essay! Just wondering if anyone else has had anything simular done to them?
I am 100% innocent! Ive got no history or anything for fighting or hurting anyone, only things i have are some driving convictions.
Really getting to me, as i cant belive she has done this and hasnt dropped the charges! Just read a few posts on the internet of people getting sent down for 2 years for ABH! The thought of prison really does scare the shit out of me Im only 18, 19 in april. Im currently doing my secruity training, this year was planned out to be so sweet and shes messed it up for me allready. I didnt have a solicitor at my interview, do you think i should have one at court? Most mates say yes but some say no as it makes me look guilty? Also some people are just telling me to plead guilty even though im innocent as the chances of me being found not guilty are very unlikly, so i will get less of a punishment.
She's saying i pushed her over which done the damage to her face, then punched her in the face and kicked her and spat on her, and smashed her phone up. I went back to the police station the next morning and asked them to take pictures of my clothing and hands as my hands had no blood or marks on them, neither did my clothing but they wouldnt take pics of any of them because im not the victim!? So ive took pic on my phone and will print them off before court.
Where she is saying it happend there is no CCTV or no witness's. Its my word against her's, like i say i havnt any previous for voilence, im hoping the court will see she is clearly lying but its just my luck for them to say im guilty. My ex has tried to kill herself a few times, last time she would have died if i didnt find her in time. Main reason im worried is because a couple of years ago she " accused " a lad of raping her, he got found guilty sent down for a year for it. Im mates with the lad now, he is also a member on here, my ex once when she was drunk, admited to me that he did not rape her.. and he says he is innocent to this day, so the courts do get it wrong sometimes.
Oh yeah ive got numerous death threats from her lad mates about it via fb and texts so will show them up in court too. She also put a picture up on fb of her face.. if your bf really did beat you up would you post a pic? I wouldnt.. maybe thats just me.
I know there are two sides to every story but this is the true side!
Anyway your opinions please? Anything like this happend to you? If im found guilty what do you think will happen?
EDIT: in october sometime she was round mine and i had to ring police on her cause she had kicked off, she fell over drunk that night and thats on record.
Jordan.

I will offer a serious opinion in one week when I've read all of that.
Brb. (Thank you btw, it's a really slow day at work today)
Righty ho just finished reading. At the moment you were being arrested you shouldn't have resisted arrest. This gives the police a huge amount of suspicion and they wouldn't have used the CS gas if it wasn't 100% needed.
However I've also been in a similar situation where my girlfriend was paraletic, I held her up by her arms outside a club and bouncer's thought I was attacking her. Luckily I was able to explain myself to them and they let it go.
Plead your case, gather as much evidence as possible and use her history against her. Best of luck.

Is it ABH with, or without intent??
Sam got arrested on the 28th dec for ABH, without intent, was accused of hitting someone over the head with a wrench and is currently on bail too, He has been told that it makes a huge difference if its without intent. Also I would deffo get a solicitor in court, as they may be able to save your skin from going to prison. (Your ex sounds like a nasty piece of work)

Lol, it must be noted down that she was steaming drunk, and if she had no shove marks or kick marks on her, then I don't think they can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that you did anything...

She obv had the face injury, and had marks on her neck.. she accused me months ago of grabbing her neck, her mum rang polic on me.. then a week after she admited it was a lie and she made the marks herself, she has done the same again. I shall look inyo getting a solictor!

It should say it on your bail sheet, where it says alleged charges.
You made the same mistake as sam imo by not getting a solicitor at the interview. Bring all that up about her lieing before, it will help your case..any dirt you can dig up on her dig it up to help you, thats what sam is doing :y:

One thing i cant understand is why some guy attacked you and why you got pepper sprayed? Did you attack the police? why on earth would you do that? if they are going to arrest you they will, so go with them.
see it from their point of view, she is saying you were violent and the police had to pepper spray you - that is all on record.
Also, this witness, i.e. the guy whose phone she used, is he a witness? did he not see the exchange between you and your girlfriend? i.e. did she call the police in a mind frame of malice or was she scared, these are all important facts.

Im pretty sure i said this, but ill say it again. There was no witness's or cctv where she fell over and dropped her phone. The persons phone she used, all he can say is that emily came up to him, asked to use his phone, rang the police then gave him the phone back, he walked on..
As for the drunk starting on me, i did nothing wrong! And where he pushed me over there is CCTV, and it will clearly show me going for me first, then me restrainging him... and even handing his GF the blokes phone..
I know resisting the police was a big mistake, i just didnt want to go in a cell, there f**king horrible.

not sure about the interfering part, but people who have just been beaten up will act a certain way and the woman at the door might provide clues as to her frame of mind.
for instance, i'd know a terrified girl who had just been beaten up from a girl who had just fallen over drunk.
she may even have listened to the exchange at the window when you left.

If the police took any statement from her while she was under the influence of alcohol then that statement is void and cannot be brought before court.
I'd get a good soliciter and just show her up in court and then sue her for any damages menal, work related or physical. Use the death threats and say it has made you very anxious and reclusive for fear of being attacked and has caused a drop in confidence.

Ok, it's a joke.
She has eczema, therefore her breasts have cracks in them. Hence cracking set of tits.

not sure about the interfering part, but people who have just been beaten up will act a certain way and the woman at the door might provide clues as to her frame of mind.
for instance, i'd know a terrified girl who had just been beaten up from a girl who had just fallen over drunk.
she may even have listened to the exchange at the window when you left.
as everyone says, see a solicitor ASAP.
That is very true actually! And i shall do it this week!

with this dogshit legal system its whoever reports the 'crime' for is the one thats in the right,
the police wont even consider your side of the story, even without any proof on her part you're going to get a criminal record from this, even if its just from getting a caution

She had to have a operation in hospital, and was in hosp for around 7 hours so by the time she gave a statement i guess her alchol levels would have been low enough?
And i shall be! Had a someone try opening my front door twice now, not to sure if its to do with her but prob is!

As she was ringing my mum while i was in the cell bragging about how im getting sent to prison and sh*t.
If you try to pay her off & the police find out that would look really bad :n: so i wouldnt bother, could cause more trouble for yourself :n:
But deffo drag up/find out as much dirt about her/her past as you can, to help ith your case.. Didnt you say she called the police on you before then dropped the charges or something like that??

What Kam says.
My mum has done this to my dad.. he had a broken wrist and apparently punched her in the teeth with his cast :geek:.
He was arrested and given a official police caution even though i believe he never did it and so does everyone else. The police in the police station said to my dad they had to caution him because domestic violence is going up and they ALWAYS go in the female's favor.
tbh mate, you're going to get a police caution. iirc, the next 'offence' and you're carted off to the nick and court sharp the next morning.

Well the law sways to the females side in this situation due to the increase of domestic violence. Either way, you're best bet is to stay well clear of her and to get legal advice and explain to them the full story. You may need them again if she makes a allegation.

I had many similar situations with my ex....
I had her convince all my mates and many of my work colleagues that I was addicted to coke, after I confronted her about her drinking. (I didn't take coke at all, I hate the stuff, although I smoked a lot of green, that was all.)
I had her telling her friends (including doormen at the pub she worked at) I was beating her up, which as you can imagine caused a few problems.
I had her convince an ambulance driver (who I had called to come and take her to hospital) that I had slit her wrists and pushed her down the stairs). I walked in the room to find him ready to try and knock me out!!! Luckily the female ambulance driver stopped him and told him to leave it.
I had the police round my flat about 10 times over 3 months, all due to her getting pissed and kicking off.
She would lock me out of my flat and pass out for hours after getting shit faced, so I'd get home from work and have to get into my flat via a set of ladders stood on top of my wheelie bin, or break the locks if the kitchen window was locked.
My bank wanted to do her for fraud after I reported my card lost/stolen and they told me it had been used all night in various bars round Burton, she had spent £200 in one night (well in 5 hours) all on drink.
You'll be starting to see a pattern by now. Every time it was caused by alcohol. She was actually a really nice lass when sober. Which was my downfall I thought she would eventually change and stop drinking like she was.
We met as holiday reps and had been together for 5 years, 2 of which we worked together out in France. It was only after returning home and setting down a bit that I realised how much of a problem she had with drink. I drank a lot as well while we were holiday reps, it's part of the lifestyle. I calmed down my drinking and she seemed to get worse until things went mental and she started doing the things I mentioned above.
Luckily every time things did kick off it never got as far as me being charged by the police. I managed a local restaurant 50 meters from the local police station and knew most of the local police quite well and they knew my ex quite well aswell, which was a help.
A couple of her friends kicked off at me and I got in a big scrap with one of them in the middle of the town center after he tried to jump me from behind. But after a while they started to realise she would say anything when she was pissed and realised I might have actually been telling the truth.
Like I said I was never charged with anything and never had to attend court, but if I had I would have had a solicitor represent me without a doubt.
My advice would be to see a solicitor asap, and to keep away from her and her friends and family, and not contact her at all even after everything has calmed down and things are sorted. Also be as co-operative as possible with the police even if/when you feel they are siding with her, most are a good judge of character and if you keep calm they will see you are not the person she portrays.
I look back now, to what my ex did to me, and I can't believe I put up with any of it and stayed with her, but we all do mad things for those we love. It's only when you can look at things from a distance you realise how f**ked up they were.
I'm sure I'll hear from my ex or her family one day soon, saying she is waiting for a liver transplant or worse, she still drinks the same if not more 5 years on.

I used to love a drink, would have a drink every night, so did emily but she'd drink then start a row and just get out of control. She drilled all my tyres one night because she thought i was going to see another girl. My ex is just out of control, sleeping with everyone she can, quit her job, so im told started doing drone. She was such a nice girl when i met her :/ even though she is trying to get me sent down for something i didnt do i still love her to bits, i dont want to see her waste her life away or end up dead! Yeah, the course is, but when you send off for the actual license then the SIA would find out about the ABH and reject you?
Pretty shit situation, the solicitor is worth it.
Just read this: "You will be rejected for the following; Assault (GBH / ABH), Terrorism and anything related to racism." - There is obviously more but there is your answer.

Everyone has a strange ex, mine lied about many things in order to be seen as the 'damsel in distress'...'this has happened to me, that has happened to me, so you must be nice to me in order for me to trust you..but while youre being 'nice', im gonna fuck you over'..unbelievably manipulative...yet the strange bitch still texts me to this day saying she misses me WHILE she has someone else.
If you treat her like you 'should', then she obviously she has problems of her own and may be unstable in some way. But like others have said, none of us truly know the story inside out like you two do.

I just can't understand why you or anyone would stay with a girl given her past.
Ok maybe 1 Minor metal fuck up ... Momentary weaknes, I can be understanding.
But a long history of rape accusations, arguments, police involment ...
WHY ! ? !
End of they day, even if she drops the charges, you've got a tainted and permanent criminal record. The damage is done, your record, reputation, your future ... screwed over for girl who has given every indication of being mentally unstable.
To top it all you said " you still love her " ! What planet are you on?
If ANYONE put me through half of what she's done to you, ruined my career prospects and my personal relationships, I would care for them as much as I care for what flush down the Toliet !
If you go anywhere near her from this date you deserve what you get.
But as it stands right now, I wish you the best of luck battling through this shit storm.
Be honest and respectful and ANYTHING from her past you can supply for your hearing will help enormously.

Sounds like you picked a bad egg their pal! I know I did last year! I doubt you'll get sent down cause theirs no evidence in her favor really to actually prove you touched her (I believe you didn't).. She sounds like another "cry wolf" bitch.
My ex came home para in october last year literally 2 weeks after moving in together all upset asking why I was with her, yada yada etc, then got completely violent with a click of a finger trying to batter the crap out of me and I had to restrain her til she calmed down! then the next day she told me she had bipolar (genetic emotion disorder) and expected me to forget the incident which I couldn't!
Eventually I just left because she would not stop arguing and making snide comments and I couldn't cope with it, the day of moving out she actually brought her brothers round and claimed I tried to rape her so their was some tension there while i was trying to get my stuff out! then a few days later I was arrested for ABH and I was thinking hang on you try to kick the crap out of me.. claim to your brothers I raped you and now told the fuzz I hit you?? she was a simpleton haha.
Anyway after a long time in the cell and a couple interviews later I was let off because their was no evidence as it was just me and her in the flat and thankfully it didn't get taken any further, was all in my favor because I have a clean record and she has a filthy one with violence (along with her family) because of her bipolar.

Thanks mate, in a way im glad to hear im not the only one out there with a mental Ex.
Yeah im hoping as i have no previous they will see that, and im actually trying to get somewhere in life with a job, unlike her. Only thing is her damage to her face, i cant get the pic as its been removed from fb, it did look like she had been on the wrong end of a baseball bat though. Thats whats worrying me, in court they will just say im guilty by saying something like " its clearly visible from the pictures the police took, that the damage done was not by her falling over " or something. Guess ill just have to wait till 21st feb and see what happens then!
Annoying its so long away from the incident though, im obvouisly going to describe what happend different from my first interview and they will prob use that against me.

Good man, sounds like she could be sorry one minute, then you reply to that and the moment you're in court she'll bringing your reply up as evidence of contravening your bail conditions. Obviously two sides to a story and all that but, if you're innocent, good luck.
And 'sorry for everything' sounds to me like 'sorry for accusing you of punching my lights out when in fact I fell over'.

I havnt ready any of the posts as it's to long just read your post,
Yes you need a solicitor and then you will need a barrister If it goes to crown court wich is most likely will!
Depends on how strict your court is,
I had kind of same charge. I got done for ABH and possession of an offensive weapon
It was the guys word against mine..no witnesses and he had 10 pints and was twice the size of me, they did forensics on the bat and found nothing at all, so it was up to the jury to decide who they believed as I went not guilty, my luck = they find me guilty. (my barrister even told me to go not guilty as they had virtually no evidence apart from a description of the ''attacker''
If u do get sent down, don't worry it's not as bad as everyone says when your in a young offenders institution, and no guys there's no bumming! As in the young ones they're atleast 18-21 so have only been they for w maximum of few years not 20yrs
One advice i would give u if u get sent down. Put in a app forum to go to an open jail! Home visits etc!!
I pleaded not guilty and got sentences to 12 Months for each offence but they ran con current ( same time ) ( was also 1st violet offence )

Save that text and DO NOT REPLY, don't try to get smart and get a confession.
Once this is all over delete her number.
DarylCooper
19th January 2012, 21:25
Wich I did half my sentence - 6 months, so I wasn't able to get tag after 3 months cause there was a weapon.
So say you get one year, you will have to do 6 months.. But when u have done half of the half (3months) you can get tag for the remaining 3 months then you have to go to probation for the remaining 6 months, once a week then changes to once a fortnight etc,
But whilst your in there do something useful .. Do as Manu courses as u can..
As I did loads
Motor mechanics IMI level 1
Plumbing city and guilds level 1
Industrial cleaning level 1 and 2
Errecting scaffolding
Car valleting.
But if you don't go to an open prison then it's hard to get on courses and you'll just be doing a stupid job like laundry or something!
But hopefully you won't get sent down but open prison if u can mate, town visits.'weekend at home etc make time fly..
And she won't drop thencharges as she'd get in trouble her self and seems like a selfish whore, u shoulda hit her! You'd be in the same situation your in now..
Btw about the going guilty thing..
I wish i did.
I know your innocent but..
If I'd of gone guilty I would of got a suspended sentence or community service / a fine.
Better price to pay then prison my friend!
DarylCooper
19th January 2012, 21:29
Oh and if I was you..
I'd get smart. Speak to a friend face to face so there's no evidence you spoke about it,
Get him to get a confession out of her, over fb or something so it's written down. Make a fake fb Acc acting as one of her friends. W.e it takes. Just don't kill her, murder is longer!!
Then again. Man slaughter is only 2-4 years!! Jokes. Don't do something stupid. Just be smart.
Don't worry about prison.. It's not as bad as anyone says, it's more like a holiday camp!

It hasn't sorted him out properly but he doesn't go out looking for fights and be a prick to everyone anymore
He focuses alot on work and has been prison free for a year now (which is good as he has been in and out since 15 years old)
he is 21 now
They were fine with his crb and treat him like any other person in there he has just been promoted as well
He doesn't want to go back inside and stays away from trouble But as he says trouble finds him
He does think he is a badman

The copper also said i had to get all of emilys stuff from mine and get a friend to drop it off.. anyway the next day, emilys mum rang my house phone saying she was coming to get emilys things later that night, with two coppers aswell.. i had a friend round the house at the time so i didnt have to see her mums ugly mug, but she shouldnt have contact me or came near my house, so will use that in court too.

And i have my sia training today! sat and sun :D cant wait.
So as soon as i get my certifcate im going to appliy for my license straight away... it takes up to 5 weeks to come through, but after i have to go back to custoday my court date might well be a good couple of weeks after the 21st feb.. so i can hopefully get my sia license before it even goes to court fingers crossed!

Yes mate 18-21 and (6months or something)
But if u go altcourse in Liverpool it's a private jail and in there there's 18+
If you've heard of purple hacky that's where the stories come from,
But also there's less fucking around in there as the older ones won't stand for it, as in thorncross you get in fights over the pool table (who's turns next etc) really pathetic stuff but in there it gets magnified by a thousand!!
Then you get all the scumbag scroungers constancy asking for some backy, chocolate bar. Noodles, phone credit etc, just say no to them all or they'd constantly ask. Fucking tramps can't afford there own shit!

No just keep the texts and speak to your solicitor! The police can't advise you what to do and they might just tell her not to contact you, afterall she could say she sent it the wrong person or it wasn't her who text it.
Your solicitor will proboly tell you to hang fire and wait and see if you receive
More..
Personally id go buy a £10 phone that comes with credit and text her saying 'your sorry means nothing or you'd stop what your doing'
She will know it's you but can't proove
It but she can't go to the police as she's text you..

Update....
I was meant to hand my self into custody on the 21st of Feb.
Around the 10th of Feb i had a job interview, and got the job! Doing CCTV for Travis Perkins head office, and my job induction was on the 21st Feb.
So i went into wellingbrough police station spoke to the lady on the desk about it, after alot of fucking around and making 3 trips back there for no reason at all, i finally got to speak to the officer dealing with the case. He said that they had not heard back from the crown prosecution service yet, he told me to go to my new job and he will ring me after 4PM on the 21st.
He never rang.. and still hasn't contact me as of yet. So haven't really got a clue whats going on atm.. I should really go to the police station and ask but fed up of wasting my time and petrol, so shall just wait to here from them. Cant believe its been over 3 months and it isn't sorted!

This is good advice. However, decide what you should say first, maybe go and have a few drinks to think about it first. Then go down, be sure to make yourself heard so they get the point.
If they dont listen, might i suggest using hand signals, idle threats and loud noises.

I definitely WAS a mug, i know its not legal. She isn't allowed to contact me, ive kept every text and phone call, also got them all written down in a diary too, to use IF it goes to court. If i slapped her around i don't think id make a thread about it.. I went down cop shop today but person dealing with my case wasn't on duty, lady on the desk sent him a email asking him to contact me.
I thought you said there wasn't any cctv and she fell down an alley?
I didnt think there was any cctv at all, but ive been told Where she fell over there is a camera which can see the begging of the alley which i wasn't aware of, there is nothing covering the middle/end of the alley though but the police will see her falling over, then as to her lying saying i pushed her they should hopefully realize shes bullshiting about me hitting her too.

no seriously though keep all texts, evidence and anything that may prove your inncocence. get your storys straight. barristers tear you apart at hearings and play dirty ti get what they want. do the same. abything you could use as evidence on your half do it. evwn if its not related. the less they have to.use the less they can make you look one sided infront of a jury.
