injector removal

Hi guys, what's the easiest way to get my injectors out with the engine in the car? Is it possible without removing the inlet?

It's pretty much locked in without the inlet coming out dude. I can't think of a way around it :n:

The inlet looks like it will be a absolute bitch to remove with the engine in position. I only wanted them out to send them off to injectortune, seems like more hassle than its worth tbh Barry

honestly it's pretty straight forward, but you do need to jack the car up, whack on a load of extenders on to your ratchet and undo three bolts underneath, two on top of the inlet and then lob it off - remove injectors. sorted :y:

Worth doing, having the injectors cleaned made a big ass difference.

Oh right, I had a quick look today and there wasnt a huge amouny of space round it, il have a proper look tomorrow, if its that easy il do it!

It's proper easy peasy. Helps if you have someone on top guiding the hex bit into the bolts underneath - otherwise get a torch that you mate to your forehead (forgotten what they're called - headlamps?)

Dead easy apart from the said two bolts on the bottom of the plenum. I got to them the same way as ads - under the car with loads of extensions.

Make sure you have a few rags handy when you disconnect the fuel lines from the injector rail too. Would probably be best to depressurize it at the fuel filter, but I couldn't be arsed. :p
