you need a good lump of cash just for the turbo conversion itself....if you don't have like £5k to throw at it, then don't bother lol

you don't NEED to but would be very much advised to do so. standard 1.1 brakes that hardly stop a car thats for like 70BHP defo won't be stopping a turbo powered VT quickly

if you have no knowledge what so ever which is clear you dont ( i also have very little knowledge of boosting a car) then i would suggest you dont attempt it, or you do some vigarous research first not just listening to random people like me lol.
there are plenty of people on here with turbo'd/supercharged saxos. read through there threads for some info :y:

£5k lol if he doesnt build it himself, I tallied my turbo build up the other day and it only came to 1.7k and I've bought alot of things I don't 'really' need.
To the op have a bloody good read up on what your thinking of doing and weigh up to pros/cons, I wouldn't say I have huge skills but the way indie it was by reading up on what people have said, threads on turbos, peoples turbo blogs, bought a haynes manual and a good set of tools. The out come is i have now managed to build a complete turbo'd vtr engine and replace all suspension etc.

no knowledge or budget, maybe you should just keep it as it is. Without a proper tyre/wheel/suspension/brakes setup, you'll be wheelspinning your way into a ditch. Then add the extra cost in insurance and I could start talking about how to spend money on a better non modified car. As in buy a vts and save a couple thousands.
