Are you doing the above? If so....park your car (if you can) on your drive, insert keys into a drain and walk away without killing everyone.

Attempting to drive in the snow is dangerous as it is, no matter how experienced the driver is or the ability, you can never predict the conditions. I much prefer getting on a pushbike and overtaking cars in the snow.

Been lowered 60mm on the front and round about 90mm on the back is bad enough in dry conditions but in the snow mehhh, just got to keep the momentum going and try not to come to a hault, don't go racing through the gears like a knob either :).

Thank you - not bad nick considering she now coming up for 26 years old but has had quite a few replacement and modified parts fitted during the last 11 years I've owned her.

Thanks to her the VTS and VTR stay nice and dry in the barn during the "snowy season" - the French don't bother with salting or gritting roads in this area so it's a bit like an ice rink for the few weeks a year we get snow :panic:

Low revs, higher gear. The snow is no fun trying to keep an 40 tonne artic on the straight and narrow, especially when There's a £500 accident bonus at stake:(

Winter steelies with skinny tyres are best for snow, unfortunately I don't have any so its just a case of being really careful. You just have to prey other drivers are as careful:(

not quite snow, but still. whilst driving to work today, at 15 miles per hour in gear 2 i managed to spin the car, hit a patch of black ice. sometimes you can be the best driver in the world (which i am not) and you can still spin it!

If it snows anymore than about 20cm here.. I live at the bottom of a stupidly steep hill... Won't be going anywhere (y) prefer to walk on the snow anyway! Saves the chance of an accident doing like 5mph.. Not worth it IMO

Saw an audi go into the side of a bus. Shows that its all down to the driver, i stopped a good 100 yards before as i wasnt being a nob!

I did, however, hit a patch at 40 on a corner. My pants went very brown, brain took over and stopped me spinning!!

Dont know why people struggle.

Last night I was on the way to my girlfriends in thick snow. A land rover defender infront of me lost control and understeered into a bush. I drive a rear wheel drive car with absolutely crap tyres and just went straight past him. It's really not difficult lol

I'm another one who doesn't seem to understand all the fuss, I was at work till 11pm Saturday night and back in at 8am Sunday morning. Car is lowered 60mm, only issue's I had on the saturday getting home were people going uphill far too slowly, once you lose your momentum up a hill your pretty screwed. Sunday morning my front bumper was a bit of a snow plough where snow had built up in the centre of the road between tyre tracks but no damage.

Literally start off barley scraping 1000rpm and you'll be fine, wouldn't exceed 1500rpm max.

I always driven my VTS 1.4 with audio in snow with no problems.
Last year i removed all the audio (250Kg) after that in every gear when i came above 40km/h the front wheels started spinning.
Also trouble with the big brake kit, at the point the pads would touch the disks my frontwheels blocked.

With the 16V engine in i can drive normal, only the back needs more weight (it swings after cornering).

On the other side 205/40/16 under 800kg in the winter is stupid anyway.

Just put WINTER tires on it and it goes very nice in snow, it's not RWD car.

My car is on 165mm R13 winter tires and no problem with snow under 20 centimeters.

Here is photo from friday...
