I spoke to Westy the other day and set him a challenge.
There are 5weeks and 3 days now before TRAX, and i'm outta shape!
currently 12st 8 ounces or 80 KG
5'8" just,
and have a circumference of 99cm around my navel.
My challenge to him was to help me
1. change my body shape
and 2. lose as much weight as healthily possible (ideally up to a stone)
I'm willing to change my diet change my gym routines and dust off the old bike.
So we'll see what he comes up with. He has accepted by the way and i'm waiting for my routine in the post.
This is a one off apparently, we know each other, and so he was willing to help me, and hopefully, doing it like this, it actually spurs me on. SOmetimes my self motivation is low. Please, don't slate this idea, as it's only to help a man loose the llbs!!!!!!

good luck mate
i know i say it alot, but i did spinning 4 times a week sometimes 5 and it really really helped, its great for you so if yuo can go to that, doing that and a change in diet will really help

The programme is written & will be inteh post this evening when i can find my 1st class stamps LOL.
this is very tough as im not with HIM to train him, it is just advice given for him to follow. 5 weeks is a very short amount of time i usually say to client we need 8 - 10 weeks! so this has been slashed by half!! I am confident we will see results if he sticks to the programmes & advice given though.
Good luck MATEY!!

11th August 2006, 12:11
Dammnit, you were so close with that guess!!!!
Right guys i'm still on it!!!!
Enjoying every session now, it's great, the whole weights bit is toning me up according to the gfriend and i've lost 8 Llbs now, a straight 12 stone.
But i'm guessing losing that was the easiest bit....now to keep going
working the weights at about 65%of my total possible and that burns i tell the
Only found out the difference between upright rowing and chest press the other day so that was funny!!!!
I forgot to mention before, my Body mass fat was something like 18.7 which is ok, but better to be towards the 15 mark the blokey said.
don't know what it is now.
so on the Westy plan, i've lost 8 Llbs and about 2 cm from my waist!!!
Happy all round!!!

WestyVTR
25th August 2006, 08:53
Oz you can decrease your rest period slightly if you like! up the weights to siut approx 75% of your max as you are possibly recruiting more muscle cells now than wen you started. do you feel generally stronger!? Silly question i know you will do...
Hows the night workout going - remember its all part of the programme! LMBO
Merk
25th August 2006, 10:38
I used to be 12 stone 7lbs when I was 15.
I cut down to 10st in a very short time, simply by eating healthy, and running every single day.
Fuck long rest periods, you don't need them if you're on a 10 week course, I say have 2 rest days every 2 weeks. The only way you can get your body to change is to push it to the limits.
And try some weight training, doesn't matter what kind, Weight training increases your metabolism, so whatever you eat, will go right through you =]
WestyVTR
25th August 2006, 11:02
Rest periods - you do need them!! end of... LOL
push it to its limits in more ways than pushing heavier weights.... use your mind to train your body not the otehr way around......
Merk
25th August 2006, 23:04
Yes, you do need them, but someone who wants to dramatically change their body in a very short space of time, doesn't need to rest very much at all, a day a week is perfect.
WestyVTR
26th August 2006, 17:34
rest days - im refering to rest periods between sets!
oz_borne
29th August 2006, 14:22

Thanks guys,
and it was good to get some good comments over the weekend
i feel so much better now that i've lost the weight, and i went to the gym tonight (usually i go oin the morning,) weighed myself, and the independant ajudicator (K, my girlfriend) said i was 11st 8Llbs and as i looked, so i was.
so, that in essence, means that in 6 weeks (school holiday period) i managed to lose 1 whole stone. Which was my target.
I love it when a plan comes together!!!
Cheers Westy....now you just have to help me keep it off!!!
