Recently my petrol consumption has been a bit crappy.

So I've drugged the car up on loads of Redex and started using Shell Optimax, It's now returning 45mpg I was wondering would I notice any diffrence if I reset the ECU to adjust it to the better fuel as I used to run normal Unleaded or will it sort itself.

The pipe is currently blowing, the tracking needs doing and I've just relised the fronts should be on 36psi rather than 32 so doing the tyres tommorow when they're cold, so hoping for a couple more mpg when all thats sorted - or am I being greedy?

resetting the ECU wouldn't adjust it, for that you'd need a remap, and i think the ecu should be able to adjust itself to the optimax anyway. it sounds like the low consumption could be symptoms of the problems you have mentioned. get them fixed and give it a service and see what happens.

Excellent thanks mate, just someone said to me reset the ECU but didnt exactly explain it to me properly so I was just enquiring (sp?)

Will get these looked into in the near future and hopefully will see some improvement, doesn't help the tyres are mix and match either god it sounds like a right shed lol.
