GT series turbos do they need some sort of restrictor in the feed line compared to the old T series that don't really?

check the spec of the turbo on garret site mate..it should tell you iirc

they are supposed to be restricted, i have the actual reccomended parts scribbled in my workshop, but iirc if oil pressure exceeds 5bar then a 1mm restrictor should be used.you can easily make a restrictor or even buy banjo bolts with the correct restricting hole in.

havnt forgotten mate, going sunday. been pissing down when ive been free so aint bothered lols!
il dig out my paperwork on the gt. realistically its not often an issue apart from cold start and full chat but so easy to do properly, just as well do it.

ok dude let me know on the 16v bits no rush but wouldn't mind having the other car sorted whilst i get the boost done

no probs, got all day set aside sunday. i will double check the restrictor size too
