Put a pry bar or flat bladed screwdriver on the flange where the bolts go through and twat it so that it spins it.Should be enough to break the seal and pop it out enough to get something in to lever it out.

They can be absolute ass to get out. That's the main problem of having an iron block with an alloy pump. Instant fusion of the 2 metals.
I had to twat as much off as I could and until I was left with an alloy ring in the block then just cut segments out of that ring until it all came out.
Shit idea

lol, its not a nice job, they sometimes seize in the block, knock it from all angles, slowly get flat head screw drivers and work your way around it little by little knocking it in with a hammer, but dont go mad as the flange around the edge will easyily snap off. So stop if it looks like it will, its not the end of the world if so just means you have nthing to help.
Just take your time, one side then the other working it out.
Tho this is one i had to get out awhile ago just to scare ya lol, ended up drilling it and breaking the edge with a chiesel to free it, then had to remove the rear hose work to flush all the filings out.

Mine took me a couple of hours of hammering, ended up smashing all the flanges off it. Stick at it, it will come out

Doing my cambelt kit and waterpump this week and am not looking forward to it now :ponder: Going to try this method^^ and hope it works as I dont fancy smashing the pump to bits or drilling it!
If anyone else has any other tips that arent mentioned in this thread then feel free to post them up!

they are a pig to get out - 9 times out of 10 you will need to smash it to bits. These were the couple I did on mine (engine changes so had to do it twice)

Glad to say my pump came off after about 5 mins of hitting although I was lucky because the pump had been replaced at some point because it still looked quite shiney!
