mani leak

have the janspeed mani with sports cat, and 4 months ago the part that is bolted to gear box???? cracked on the mani so has a small leak, garage welded it up and has been fine till now.
today the fart sound has appeared again and bet its the crack again so i am guessing engine or gearbox is vibrating to much and snapping this mount, so do i really need the mani bolted to gearbox thingy or can i leave it off and save my mani?

never bolted mine on - no problems / rattles in 3 years / 20k road miles.

As said, it is supposed to be on there really, but a lot of people don't bother and it doesnt seem to affect things too badly.

mine wouldnt fit but then again fitted vtr mani to 1.1 :D lol
