how would i go about doing this ?
i want it near my headlight or sumthing, at the moment it sits at the back, not helping at all there really is it lol, the cold air feed does fuk all i reckon
anyone done this ?

No matter where you put it under the bonnet if its an open filter it will suck in hot air. I think if you had morrettes and took one of the lights out then relocated the filter near it, it would be slightly better.

lead the pipe to the bottom of the engine bay :)

A cold air feed doesnt do much in all honesty unless its an enclosed induction
The surface area of the filter is larger than the pipe which feeds it, so it will still suck in hot air

i cant remember whos it is, he posted a pic, its the guy with a lime sorta green 1.1, his not from britain, mite be the krovean guy ?? he has it relocated with pipes

get a 90 degree filter tubing from motor world or halfords. then maybe another straight tube and it will take it to the front of your engine bay. it should help considerably mate i reckon. im going to get some tubing soon aswell im in the same boat as you! lol

I was planning on doing this but found it quite hard to find the right sized elbows etc..

could u make a pipe the goes from the filter to the bonnet grille?

its annoyin me, theres a guy on here with a green saxo, 1.1 mk1, old lookin, think he was foreign, think his the one with only 2 alloys and the other trims, he had a pic of his engine and he had relocated his!!! sumone must know him ???

might be an idea to relocate it to where a fog light point is and cut the hole out?although water may be an issue in the rain....

any ideas how he did this ? i need the black thing his got that makes the pipe go off at an angle from the top of the engine

Is that not a standard part on the blacktop throttle plenum?
You will spend more money on parts and more time fitting than you will getting a decent enclosed filter like Green or BMC..

yea but you cant get and enclosed filter for a 1.1 ....can you ?

BMC are a universal enclosed kit
So yes you couldmake it fit
