Hi guys new to saxperience so I'll say hi. I will get a full thread up soon.
Basically I have got a vtr mk1 which I got for next to nothing it ha been in road for a year and has not been ran since. Basically if the car is in good nick I will fix it all up for occasional track days it just looks very tired and needs some parts replacing. Basically the engine turns over but nothing else I was told it can be jumped off to start as the battery is nackerd so I have got a new battery and it won't fire up. Where would be the best place to start to find route as to why it won't start.
I'm new to this but it's more of a learning thing.

Cheers guys

check to see if your getting a spark to your plugs or top right of engine bay there is a red button its a fuel cut off switch press it as you might not be getting fuel id try that first mate

When it turns over was that on the old battery or new one? If its on the new one it may not be fully charged.

If it was the old one then something is not connected right since fitting the new one.

Is there fuel in it? (simple solutions may be the right ones)

Thanks! got it going it was really lumpy idling but after a while it was ok , must of been because it was sat for so long. Changed the HT leads, plugs aswell and it still wouldnt turn over. It was the code for the imobiliser and it needed some fuel. Thanks for your input!
