Last couple of days my car has been struggling to hold a solid idle (around 900rpm) after just starting the engine from standing still, or even when putting the clutch down when driving the idle drops to 500revs or below causing the car to cut out.

I have a VTR lump with a 1.1 inlet manifold on as my 1.6 inlet had the brake vacuum clip snapped off and the 1.1 was all i could find at a local scrapyard.

I'm guessing the smaller inlet isn't taking in enough air and until it has the engine continues to cut out or am i wrong?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! :wall:

Lol i'll have that VTR inlet later with sensors included for you..or take the sensors and throttle body off and clean them with carb cleaner etc. If it was the actual inlet causing problems you'd have noticed before the last couple of days?

I thought that myself but its just recently that it's started doing it alot more, think a full service is due next weekend! :y:

Bring that inlet out later with all the sensors and stuff mate and ill give you the money for it.
