hi guys i went out in the motor this morning was going down the country lanes when i started hearing a sort of moaning noise occasionally when i was steering and changing speeds it was happening every few hundred meters stopped to have a look but could see nothing anyone have any ideas? it was coming from the wheels/suspension area i think not entirely sure was underneath the front any help would be mega guys

sounds like it could be a wheel bearing mate

Sounds like a wheel bearing dude. Possible it might be your brake pads rattling about if theyre seriously low but I'd investigate the bearings first.

Jack the car up and give the wheel a wiggle left right up and down. See if theres any play.

dont bother wiggling the front wheel left and right, as all you'll do is see the play in the steering

Just grab the top and bottom of the wheel and move it to see if its loose. If so - bearing

Yeah if you move it like a gorrila!! Do it left and right aswell as up and down but don't pull at it like an idiot, should only need to wiggle it slightly to see if there is any play.

as said its most likely one of the wheel bearings on the way out.
