Fitted my turbo mani today and the actuator rod it pushing against the crank sensor, any idea on how to get round this? Maybe a different crank sensor i could use?

not 100% but would a spacer between mani and head would solve this?

You could try an earlier style Crank sensor

you should be able to twist the "cold side" of the turbo around slightly. it might move the actuator just enough to stop it rubbing mate.

you can't with that it's moulded one citurning use a slightly bent actuator rod to get around it but the later I think crank sensors exited sideways instead of pointing down which should give some clearance also on the cituning kit they have a small bracket that goes from the turbo to the block to hold it all still so whatever engine movement there is it doesn't effect this part

Remind me on tonight I'm sure I've got a mk1 s sensor in the spare room

very common problem with some turbo kits .
turn the housing and make up a new bracket or redrill it for the actuator so it moves it away from problem and is still a nice straight push on the wastegate flap.
