Im thinking of getting a superchip for my vtr. Just wondering if you peeps could guide me in the right direction of what to get and what work needs to be carry out. Cheers :)

superchips are gash. get a dastek piggyback or have the standard ecu remapped. both cost around £400, although it depends which engine modifications you have as to whether you need it (if you're running standard cam then save your money).

only got an induction kit installed.

save your money then, you should be looking next at a full exhaust plus manifold.

Just do a search theres countless posts on exhausts, that should help you out.

i hate people that shout oh my cars chipped , away n raffle ur elbow you goon...everyone in greenock is born sayin that i think its all you ever hear... as soon as you ask what its like when they just buy it...oh its not standard its superchipped..wooohoooo shutit , rant over

if your running all standard you will be lucky to see 5-6 bhp increase from a superchip. not really worth the money you pay for them, follow the advice above and you'll be fine mate!

As sean says superchips are a waste of time an re-mapping the ecu is where its at but obviously the more mods you have the better the results.
Dasteks also need mapping so a full re-map when getting cams an headwork done is deffo the best bet.
