Am I right in saying when using a jp4 head, if wanting to run j4 performance cams then you'll need to change the internals of the head to j4?
What bits need transferring over from j4 into jp4 head?
Also with the jp4 bottom end can I use the j4 alternator setup?

think thats what im going to do also, however i think that the valve clearance when running a jp4 bottom end is too close so i may have to have a re-think
either get the jp4 pistons modified or use a j4 bottom end i suppose

I think part of the clearance issue is the fact the JP4 uses a thinner headgasket. I think you can just run a J4 gasket. Lose abit of compression but gain in having better cams.
