Search is the easiest way to find out mate. Sandy does a kit or look for second hand throttle bodies.

You don't need an ECU for Carbs :y:

You can use your ECU to run your ignition and clocks Etc...
Or you can get new clocks and a distributor set up.
If you use your ECU, just don't connect the fueling and air side of the loom up (You'll have nowhere to plug them anyway) :y:
You'll need to buy or make a Manifold to mount your carbs, also you'll need them jetted because they'll be too lean to run your VTS motor :y:

They're good, just right but they're off the car now and going on my Forged Engine.
I'd say get R1 or R6 and make sure they're carbs and not Bodies as the from like '94 they used bodies I believe :y:

You'll have to get a Manifold custom made as not many people go for Carbs :)

You'd see small gains, but Cams along side carbs will always see more Gains.
But keep in mind, Carbs won't see as much Gains as Bodies, but Bodies are a lot more money lol.

I've also been working towards this, & it seem the only thing i've not purchased yet it the bodies. Hoping for some 2nd hand Jenveys to pop up otherwise i'm gunna have to pay £900 for sum AT ones. I have 708's atm but should i really get a new head gasket & have head gasflowed before installing bodies? It will cost more than i want it to but i was wondering if than is the done thing rather than bolting on to what is quite a standard engine.

Always best to upgrade gaskets when modifying an engine for power gains. :)

I guess buying MLS gasket is my next step then.

I would if I was you, nothing worse than building an Engine and then a Gasket goes and you have to take it all apart again lol.

Cheers for that, one more item added to inventory. Can you tell me all engine work you had done before adding the carbs to your VTR. Or post a link if you have a thread showing the spec please.

I didn't update my thread for ages, Engine was forged.
Forged Pistons, Lightened Flywheel, Lightened Crank, Big Valves, Custom Cam, Skimmed Head, R6 Carbs, Oil Cooler, Twin Rad.
That engine is now being rebuilt again and I shall update my thread ASAP lol.
